Boothbay Harbor Wedding Weekend

We couldn't have imagined a more perfect weekend wedding for Alicia & Graves. Their Boothbay Harbor Wedding Weekend was a mix of casual, adventure and sophistication. There was also a wee bit of nudity. Hats off to the Linekin Bay Resort wedding staff!! The entire facility is amazing and beautiful, and the staff were like old friends. Before you get too excited, know that we were fully warned ahead of time. But we'll fill you in on that later. First, to tell you about these two amazing people....

Maine Seacoast Wedding

Maine Seacoast Wedding Venue Hidden Pond

Hidden Pond, this southern Maine seacoast wedding venue is definitely one of our favorites. It’s a total hidden gem of a resort in a wooded enclave in Kennebunkport near the ocean. Dana, having grown up in Haverhill is all about the seacoast region. Mike, while from Michigan, takes every opportunity to be in the water, wether in a wet suit or on a boat. Ironically, Dana admits to not being one for the nautical theme, preferring to enjoy the landscape of the ocean rather than be submerged....

Maine Camp Wedding Venue

What do canoes, periodic tables and lobster all have in common? You'll find them all at Camp Withamerriel, New England's hottest new Maine camp wedding venue! Don't get too excited, because there will never be another wedding there again! (You'll have to settle for the awesome Camp Wazi instead!) Beyond Sebago Lake in the further reaches of Waterford, Maine stands Camp Waziyatah on the shore of McWain Pond. But Amanda and Dave took it over for the weekend of September 24th and rebranded. Amanda and Dave met...

Maine Barn Wedding Venue Stone Mountain Arts Center

There is a certain magic to summers in Maine, between the long days, golden light, loads of activity and carefree living. The Stone Mountain Arts Center is a Maine barn wedding venue that captures this in a way many other venues can’t. They take a local feel, combine it with music and culinary talent and place it on a dirt road seemingly in no where. Well, it’s not quite that remote, being only half an hour or so from North Conway, NH. But this secluded...

Summer Camp Wedding in Waterford, Maine

Summer camp weddings have a special place in our hearts, they truly allow for a couple's creativity and unique personalities to shine. Erik and Juliette took this to a new level with a blend of France meets Boston at Camp Waziyatah in Waterford, Maine. Yup, the two worlds converged for a Friday night talent show! Complete with Country Roads, songs in French (if we spoke French we could tell you what!) And audience participation songs late into the evening before everyone turned in to their cabins. Juliette...

Rangeley Maine Lake Wedding at Loon Lodge with Ashley & Frank

While planning her lake wedding, Ashley met us on the phone for a consult during one of our many wedding road trips and I'm pretty sure we forgot to talk about her wedding plans. Instead, we talked about living in Iowa, Field of Dreams, life with a toddler, and by the time we hung up it felt like we had just concluded a best friend catch up session! It was many months later before meeting Frank, and it went the same, making (slightly inappropriate) jokes, uninhibited...

Sam & Eben, The Stone House, Bar Harbor, ME

We instantly have a connection with any couple that is passionate about Mount Desert Island (MDI), Acadia National Park, and wanting a Bar Harbor wedding. It's insanely unlikely that you can visit this magical island without it changing your life. Sam grew up spending time in Pretty Marsh (on the Quiet Side of the island) with her family, soaking in the salt air, abundant wild blueberries and lingering golden sunsets. Her year round home was in Rockville, Maryland, also home of Eben. They originally met in middle...

Hidden Pond Wedding, Kennebunkport Maine

A Hidden Pond Wedding is a special event at a special location, a little spa retreat nestled into an otherwise forgotten stretch of flat land on the outskirts of a thriving coastal Maine town. It was just the right mix of intimacy, Maine mystique, and foodie sophistication that Michigan born Kat and Eric needed. The couple, who were set to marry a year and a half earlier, with 150 family and friends in their home state walked a rocky road to arrive at this spot...

Rachael & Susan, Acadia National Park, Maine

Planning an Acadia National Park wedding? Or just need travel advice? Ask Rachael and Susan who are passionate visitors of National Parks. They've knocked a remarkable number off in their five years together, from East to West and into Canada. Rachael was working as an ER nurse when Susan entered the hospital as a paramedic. Their love of the outdoors saw them through a few years in Utah, which is were we came to know them. Originally from Pennsylvania, Susan now works for Boeing in Seattle. Which...

Ben & Loie, Cliff Island, Casco Bay, ME

This Cliff Island wedding has all the makings of a modern day fairytale. Cliff Island is one of thousands of islands off Maine's coast, so it's no wonder we almost boarded the wrong water taxi! Loie had arranged for our ride to the island on a water taxi from the main land. We felt a bit like tourists enjoying the ride out of Portland and the views of Casco Bay as we enjoyed the life of Maine wedding photographers. We arrived after a wonderful private boat ride to...
